Intruder Alarms

We firmly believe that every home and business needs a security system to deter uninvited guests.

It’s our firm belief that every home & business should have a security system to deter uninvited guests. We design and install insurance-approved intruder alarms, available in both wired and wireless options, for domestic, commercial, and industrial clients.

Our Intruder Alarms can be remotely monitored via a central Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), talk directly to your mobile phone with full monitoring and control or purely make as much noise as necessary depending on the customer’s needs and the system fitted.

Additional Available Services

Intruder Alarm Repair

At Complete Fire & Security, we can repair or replace most intruder alarm panels. Our engineers will attend your property, check over your system and advise if it is feasible to repair the system.

When we arrive, we will often tell you if the system is repairable within minutes, but the decision to carry out the repair is yours. It is our policy not to charge for any service, repair or additional components without your express agreement.

If it transpires that it would be cheaper or more cost effective to replace a faulty unit with a new one, this would be discussed before any work is carried out. Replacements could include the control panel, Keypad, Motion detectors, Door contacts etc.

In most cases, we can tell you if we can repair the system and if we carry the necessary parts for it without even needing to visit – just tell us the make and model number of the intruder alarm panel.

Remote Monitoring

The main communication methods available to send signals to central Alarm Receiving Centres(ARCs) are: Digital Communicators with either a hard-wired phone line or SIM Card based units.

Single Path Communications- These are basic units with a single option for communication, either a single hardwired phoneline or a single SIM card based module, often used in houses or businesses with no specific requirement for extra backup communications.

Dual Path Communications- These are advanced communication devices for secure alarm reporting, compliant to Grades 2, 3 and 4 of the EN standards or more recently DP2, DP2+ DP3 etc.

These devices are totally integrated, dual-path signalling devices using both hardwired network paths and/or twin SIM card based units with each having a backup radio and SIM card for the most secure locations or where insurance companies have specified. This combination ensures an alarm signal can be transmitted despite deliberate or accidental failure of either signalling path.

Many systems can also be fitted with a WiFi Module to allow the system to talk via your own home or corporate WiFi.

Maintenance Plans

Once you have wisely invested in any Fire or Security system to protect your Family, Home, Business or possessions, it is important to keep it in good working order so that your system will deliver the protection you require at all times. We provide comprehensive service and maintenance plans for all types of system including systems that we did not install but only once a thorough inspection has been carried out.

Typically, an intruder alarm system should have a comprehensive maintenance visit every year. If you have your intruder alarm monitored, this increases to twice a year.

However, one of these maintenance visits may be done remotely depending on the system fitted.

When our engineer attends site, they will check log books and system documentation for any previous faults, issues and service calls.

Your intruder alarm system will be subjected to a full functionality inspection, which will include the following:

  • Check the installation, location and siting of equipment against the specification
  • Check the satisfactory operation of detection devices including deliberately operating devices
  • Check the mains and standby power supplies, including correct charging rates
  • Check the control unit for correct operation
  • Check remote signalling equipment where applicable
  • Where possible, test remote signalling equipment

Without maintenance, even the most effective equipment will deteriorate. It is therefore important that a qualified engineer carries out regular maintenance checks. Every one of our installations is supported by a specifically tailored maintenance package. This will ensure your equipment meets current health and safety standards and lessens the risk of future failure or faults.
